We reported a few days ago that the upcoming Lucid Air EV gets 700+ km (435+ miles) of range from a single charge, surpassing all competition in this respect. The company followed up on this statement saying it can also charge faster than the rivals.
According to Lucid Motors, the Air can gain 32 km (20 miles) of range from mere 60 seconds spent plugged into a high-power charging station. Therefore, to top up for another 100 km (60 miles), you only need to charge for three minutes.
The engineering department of the company says this becomes possible thanks to a special structure of the traction battery used. Thermal regulation is also said to have been improved.
Lucid is also planning to start offering its clients wall-mounted bidirectional charging terminals in the future.
