Carwow has posted a drag race comparison between two high-end electric sedans – the Porsche Taycan Turbo S and the Lucid Air Performance. The two have similar launch times, but their other parameters are different.
The Lucid Air uses its dual electric motors to reach 96.6 km/h (60 mph) in 2.5 seconds. The Taycan also relies on a pair of e-motors, but is 0.3 seconds slower to the same speed. The Air outputs 1,111 PS (1,096 hp / 817 kW) and 1,390 Nm (1,025 lb-ft), while its German rival makes 761 PS (750 hp / 559 kW) and 1,050 Nm (774 lb-ft). The Taycan also inches out a weight advantage at 2,295 kilos (5,060 pounds) versus 2,383 kg (5,254 lbs).
Make sure to watch the races until the end, because there are standing runs, different rolling races and a brake test in the end – more than enough for an accurate comparison.
