2024 Lynk & Co 06 loses traditional engines, goes full-on electric

Geely-owned car brand Lynk & Co has officially revealed the 2024 model year update of its 06 SUV, making sure all engine options are electrified to some extent.

On the outside, the new 06 looks much like its senior cousin, the 08 (see video), with its new daytime running lights, bumpers and headlights. Most of the body panels are new, too.

The interior is where things get interesting, though. The door panels and the steering wheel are completely different, there are no longer any hardware buttons on the transmission tunnel and the console, and the sun visor has a semi-transparent part for better visibility.

Not everything has been revealed about the powertrain options. The one thing we know is that they are all hybrids. For the time being, customers in China can order the new Lynk & Co 06 with a system called Geely EM-P, which combines a 1.5-liter petrol engine with two electric motors. The engine alone makes 120 PS (118 hp / 88 kW), but with the motors active, the combined output rises to 299 PS (295 hp / 220 kW) and 568 Nm (420 lb-ft) of torque.
