Lynk&Co Next Day debuts as a luxury grand tourer concept

Geely-owned car marque Lynk&Co has unveiled the Next Day, its first concept car ever to feature a four-door GT body style.

The name refers to the status of the vehicle: as a design study, it previews the future design of Lynk&Co cars, but will never go into production in this form. It combines aggressive and sleek lines with a laconic overall shape, sophisticated bumpers and a rear diffuser that mirrors the style of the front air intakes.

An electric drive cover at the front driver also conceals autopilot sensors, the company points out. The headlights are recognizable, but look smaller than usual. There are no b-pillars, because the doors swing upwards and sideways to open.

The roof is made of glass and can be used to project an image from the infotainment system onto it. The wheels are aerodynamically shaped and boast colorful accents.

Orange inserts can be seen in the cabin as well, which is trimmed with wood and a variety of fabrics, including denim. The steering rudder has a dash gauge screen on it, and another, larger display can be found on the front panel. Switching the concept to fully autonomous mode retracts the manual controls into the panel and turns the front seats around to face the rear row.

Technical parameters remain undiscussed.
