Lynk&Co has shared some photos from the road tests of its next production car. It is a large all-electric sedan that ditches the company’s traditional naming convention in favor of a proper name: Zero. CarNewsChina believes that it will become the marque’s next flagship and compete with Xiaomi’s first EV when that one comes out.
Rumors claim the Zeekr Zero is over five meters (16.1 ft.) long with over 3 meters (9.81 ft.) between the axles. A laconic, low-drag exterior design makes it look smaller than that, though. Overall, the model resembles the recently introduced 07 EM-P hybrid and the New Day Concept.
All technical specifications remain to be revealed. It is speculated that the chassis is the same as the Zeekr 001, which has recently been facelifted to support 800V power. The 001 has powertrains ranging from 421 to 788 PS (415–777 hp; 310–580 kW, respectively). The Zero is expected to get similar tech. All-wheel steering and adaptive air-ride suspension are also high up our list of expectations.
The Zero should become the Chinese company’s first full-fledged EV in a portfolio filled with ICE cars and hybrids. It is expected to debut in a month or so and go on sale in mid-2024.
