The Mahindra XUV700 is a mid-size crossover SUV that will soon hit the showroom floors around India and be the marque’s first model with an updated badge.
On the outside, the car has LED lighting, pull-out door handles, and a fin-like radio antenna. Power is provided by a 2.0-liter gasoline turbo four-cylinder rated at 200 PS (197 hp / 147 kW) and 380 Nm (280 lb-ft) of torque. There are also 2.2-liter diesel options to consider: one churns out 155 PS (153 hp / 114 kW) and 360 Nm (266 lb-ft) of torque, and the other does 185 PS (182 hp / 136 kW) and either 420 or 450 Nm (310 or 332 lb-ft) of torque, depending on your chosen configuration.
Six-speed manual is the only transmission type available so far, but a higher spec is expected to arrive later with six-speed automatic, AWD, and seven seats.
Inside, there are two 10.25-inch touchscreen displays merged into one and a two-zone climate control system. Tick all the options, and you will be getting seven airbags, ABS, ESP, all-around view cameras, electronic handbrake, AEB, ACC, and other modern niceties.
