A new trim version of the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, called the Sports Limited Edition, is now available in India. In fact, you can buy the upgrade separately and have it installed on any version of the SUV. The cost is 29,990 Indian Rupee (ca. 430 USD).
Included in the package are front bumper and fender guards, sporty-looking side skirts, various decals, running boards, seat covers, branded floor mats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a pillow with neck support, and much more. There are over 35 items in the package.
The Brezza currently counts among the most popular crossover SUVs on the Indian market, sometimes even pulling ahead of the Hyundai Creta in terms of sales volumes. This may not remain the case for much longer, though. The car comes powered by an old 1.3-liter Fiat diesel engine rated at 90 hp (67 kW) which is no longer compliant with the BS-VI environmental standard. The company says it will discontinue the engine in 2020 and start offering its Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza with a 1.5-liter gasoline unit capable of 104 hp (78 kW) instead. It remains to be seen just whether there is a price bump, or whether the new engine ever becomes popular with the Indian customers.
