The well-known manufacturer of luxury cars Maserati plans to release a second production crossover in 2020. This model is designed to compete in the market for BMW X3, Audi Q5, Jaguar F-Pace and Porsche Macan.
According to available information, the car will receive a rear-wheel drive platform on which Alfa Romeo Stelvio is currently assembled. Also "by right of succession" from this car the new Maserati will get the engines: a 2.0-liter turbocharged V4 with a yield of 280 horsepower and a turboturbated 2.9-liter "monster" capable of producing 510 "horses".
As the company expects, the release of a new crossover will help raise sales, which now leave much to be desired.
Note that now Maserati is developing a "charged" version of Levante. According to information leaked to the Internet, the car will receive a 3.8-liter turbocharged V8 engine, which produces 530 hp.
