The automotive concern Fiat Chrysler Automobiles has announced an intention to conclude a €20,000,000 agreement with the U.S. racing team Haas. Once signed, the deal would provide Haas with the funds necessary to build new and advanced race cars branded with the iconic Maserati logo.
Furthermore, the agreement would enable the racing team to equip their cars with top-of-the-line Ferrari engines free of charge. According to industry professionals, this policy would help Fiat Chrysler Automobiles improve its current standing in the F1 World Championship hierarchy.
On a history-related note, the last time a Maserati race car participated in Formula One was in 1969. A Cooper-Maserati vehicle piloted by Vic Elford was the 7th to cross the finish line.
