The Italian automaker will soon expand its Fuoriserie vehicle customization program to offer unique car bodies based on standard Maserati technology.
The corresponding statement was made by the Chief Engineer of the marque. In its current form seen in the gallery and the video below, Fuoriserie only enables the customers to specify trim colors and materials, the exterior paint scheme and certain décor elements, but none of the more extensive modifications. It has worked for three years now, but soon, owners will be able to customize more than just the cosmetic bits.
Other luxury vehicle brands, like Bentley, Ferrari and Rolls-Royce, are already offering their cars with unique bodies made against custom orders.
