The Swedish-based toy manufacturer Playsam has produced a particularly interesting collection of toy cars. The company worked closely with Maserati to design and manufacture precise wooden replicas of its famous vehicles. Any of these can now be purchased at U.S. $380 or so.
The entire set comprises ten car models, ranging from the classical Maserati 4CLT and A6G to the conceptual Alfieri. Playsam invites customers to purchase unpainted cars and then color them by hand in whichever fashion they want. For those who couldn’t bother, however, ready-painted sets are also available.
This isn’t the first time Porsche strikes a deal with toy manufacturers. For instance, LEGO issued a 1968 Ford Mustang set in February.
