Maserati has held an official live event dedicated to the hybridized version of its Ghibli saloon, which packs a 2.0-liter turbo-four petrol engine, an electric supercharger, a 48-volt starter and a traction battery.
The system produces 330 hp (246 kW) and up to 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) of torque, taking the luxury vehicle from standstill to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 5.7 seconds. The speed ceiling lies at 255 km/h (158 mph).
Compared side-by-side to its gas-burning counterpart, the mild hybrid sports a different radiator grille with vertical fins, blue accents on its body and wheels, new brake lights, redesigned dashboard, and a 10.1-inch infotainment system with support for OTA updates.
The Ghibli Hybrid is the Italian marque’s first step towards complete electrification. The GranTurismo and GranCabrio are next in line.
