The company has shared the first teaser pic of the next-generation Maserati GranTurismo coming up in 2021. Body outlines are pretty much all we can see at the moment.
The automaker mentioned before the pandemic that it was investing €800 million into a production site in Mirafiori. Both the GranTurismo и GranCabrio were scheduled for production there, and both were expected to get all-electric powertrains ahead of the rest of the lineup.
It is worth mentioning that Fiat-Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) is investing serious funds into the Maserati brand: the product release roadmap until 2024 mentions 13 new vehicles.
The current-gen GranTurismo left the assembly lines last November, concluding its run with a limited series of coupes called Zeda (see video). Each car received a 4.7-liter V8 rated at 460 hp (343 kW).
