Following the first official pic of the Maserati GranTurismo revealed in September 2020, we can now finally throw a glimpse at the car being tested – but keep in mind this is not its final production body.
The new chassis rides concealed under slightly modified Alfa Romeo Giulia bodywork, with the extended front end being its single most changed feature.
The GranTurismo will become Maserati’s first electric vehicle in the newly announced Foglore series. To that end, it will ship with as many as three electric motors, two of these rotating the rear wheels independently.
Traditional gas-powered versions will stay in the lineup alongside their electric counterparts. These will probably include a 4.0-liter V8 and a V6 turbo rated at 630 PS (621 hp / 463 kW) and 730 Nm (538 lb-ft) of torque.
The new GranTurismo will hit the spotlight later this year.
