Maserati GranTurismo shows up on fresh spy photos

Shortly after Maserati shared some teasers of its upcoming GranTurismo model, the two-door coupe was spotted parked outside wearing a disguise wrap over a production body.

The prototypes were found parked next to other Maserati models. There is no discerning individual changed design elements, but the car decidedly looks like the new GranTurismo, which should get an all-electric version in 2022 or later, becoming the Italian marque’s first full EV.

The gasoline version will share its V6 3.0 Nettuno engine rated at 630 PS (621 hp / 463 kW) and 730 Nm (538 lb-ft) of torque with the upcoming MC20, and it will debut later this year, the company says.

Also coming soon is the Grecale SUV, which already showed up on spy photos and in a teaser video (the one included here). The Grecale might also get the V6 Nettuno, as well as the marque’s signature lighting. A Folgore-badged electric car version might emerge later on, too.
