Maserati has started a partnership with toy manufacturer Mattel Inc., introducing a couple of Grecale Trofeo SUVs styled after Barbie toys.
The 53-horsepower crossover SUV wound up with a pink exterior finish interspersed with yellow accents. The cabin received a similar pink trim with yellow stitching. Barbie logos and captions rounded things off outside and inside.
The automaker’s Fuoriserie division said it only produced two such cars that it planned to auction off and donate 10% of the proceedings to charity.
