“Elegance and sportiness” is pretty much Maserati’s motto. Too bad its Levante SUV falls short of that characterization! Unlike the rest of Maserati luxury vehicles, it looks just like your typical SUV. Granted, the front fascia isn’t that bad, but the rear looks much too awkward and bulky compared to what the brand seems committed to, and the interior also feels a bit lackluster.
Then again, the teams like Carlex Design can always be counted upon to come to the rescue. Enter the Maserati Levante Glamour Design Concept by Carlex, a posh interior overhaul that’s everything the stock Levante isn’t.
The designer team has draped the entire cabin of the vehicle in premium leather adorned with a scale-like diamond pattern. You only need to look at the level of minute detail present on the steering wheel to realize just how much effort has been put into it. Needless to say, the entire project took hundreds of hours of painstaking manual labor.
As for the the door panels and the dashboard, the atelier has draped those with smooth black leather, creating an appealing visual contrast.
Overall, we are extremely satisfied with the job Carlex Design has done with this Maserati Levante. Now we wish someone would release a matching body kit for it…
