Maserati has brought special editions of the Levante SUV and Ghibli sedan to the recently concluded Shanghai Auto Expo. The F Tributo series pays homage to the Italian marque’s motorsports debut ninety-five years ago.
Both models look unique in their new red and vivid blue liveries with badges painted to match the body. There are black plaques testifying to the exclusivity of the series, yellow-rimmed 21-inch wheels with matching calipers, and cabins trimmed with black leather. The stitching can be yellow or white.
Prices are pending. The standard Maserati Ghibli starts from 729,200 Yuan in China, while the Levante begins at 899,800 Yuan.
Driving a Tipo 26 racecar during a Targa Florio race on April 25, 1926, Alfieri Maserati managed to score a victory in his vehicle category. The company only scored ninth in the overall ranking, something that it clearly did not feel like bringing up at the show.
In other news, the Maserati Levante has recently become a hybrid car – watch the video if you missed it.
