Maserati has shared pics of the MC20, its new supercar that comes to replace the MC12 and weighs only 1,470 kg (3,240 lbs) thanks to its aluminum and carbon fiber body.
Other notable features include its butterfly-wing doors, interior trimmed with carbon fiber and Alcantara, digital dashboard, and button-based transmission controls. Powering the car is a 3.0-liter turbocharged T6 delivering up to 630 hp (470 kW) and 730 Nm (538 lb-ft) of torque to the wheels through an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. Getting from a standstill to 100 km/h (62 mph) takes 2.9 seconds, and the top speed lies at 325 km/h (202 mph).
Maserati also promises to release an all-electric version of the MC20, which would conclude the same sprint in 2.8 seconds and have at least 380 kilometers (236 miles) of range on a charge.
