It looks like Maserati is wrapping up the tests of its MC20 supercar set to launch next year.
Despite the automaker’s determination to break free from Ferrari through the development of its own powertrain designs, the two Italian car marques seem to continue their mutually beneficial cooperation. Two MC20 test vehicles, one wrapped in camo and another one exposed, have been recently spotted and photographed at the Fiorano racetrack near Ferrari’s Maranello HQ. Witnesses supposed that the test drivers evaluated the performance of electronic systems and suspension.
The MC20 lineup will begin shipping in a coupe form with a 3.0-liter turbo-six engine under the hood. Prices in the United States will begin from $210,000. A roadster with the same engine and a pure electric car will follow later.
