Watch Maserati MC20 drift among snowdrifts

In Maserati’s latest ad, its newest MC20 supercar is shown cooking up some snowy donuts interspersed with footage of roaring mountain streams.

The MC20 is the first mid-engined Maserati vehicle in a decade and a half, while its twin-turbo’d V6 Nettuno is the company’s first independent development in over twenty years.

The mill is technically related to the Ferrari F154 and makes use of Formula tech. It unlocks the maximum 630 PS (621 hp / 463 kW) and 730 Nm (538 lb-ft) of torque between 3,000 and 5,500 RPM. A dual-clutch eight-speed automatic carries the momentum to the rear wheels assisted by a limited-slip differential (you can choose manual or electronic).

The standard sprint lasts 2.9 seconds; the car hits 200 km/h (124 mph) in 8.8 seconds and maxes out at 325 km/h (202 mph).
