In September last year, Maserati unveiled its next sports car named the MC20. Soon afterwards, New York-based studio 7Designs came up with an aero kit concept for it (see video). The kit gathered much praise and will eventually hit production – but its final form will be different from the original sketches.
The renderings in our gallery here show the latest – albeit possibly not even the final – version of the package. According to designer Siim Pärn, his main intention was to make sure all parts suited the original design philosophy of the car 100%, so until that goal is reached, more changes may be due.
Included in the package are eight main components: a front splitter, canards, a rear diffuser, side skirts, mirror caps, a roof scoop, and door fins. Everything will be made from pure carbon laminated in clear lacquer.
Production will be capped at 25 units, 7Designs says.
