Maserati fans have been waiting for the mid-engined MC20 model for a long while now, and we can imagine the Italian manufacturer also being anxious to put its newest flagship sports car into production.
Recent rumors said the first cars should ship to their owners in September this year, but the latest spy video suggests that the company keeps polishing the model before the launch. Pictured are as many as five MC20 prototypes coursing next to the Ferrari factory in Maranello. Three are painted blue, one black and one white. None wear any camouflage.
The MC20 is expected to ship with a completely new 3.0-liter V6 turbocharged to deliver 630 PS (621 hp / 463 kW) and 729 Nm (538 lb-ft) of torque. An eight-speed DCT will deliver the momentum to the wheels, enabling a sprint from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 2.9 seconds and a top speed in excess of 320 km/h (200 mph).
