Maserati has unveiled the Project24, a track-focused version of the new MC20 sports car set to be released in a batch of 62 units for drivers and tams who will later enjoy access to exclusive track events. The specifics regarding launch time and pricing remain to be announced.
Compared to the standard MC20, the Project24 boasts a redesigned body and kit, new headlights, 18-inch forged wheels, a different exhaust system and Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes.
Powering the ride is a 3.0-liter Nettuno V6 boosted to 750 PS (740 hp / 552 kW) from its original 630 PS (621 hp / 463 kW). A six-speed sequential transmission carries the torque instead of the usual eight-speed DCT.
The racer weighs around 250 kg (550 pounds) less than the road-legal car, largely thanks to a stripped interior with a bucket seat, a roll cage and a carbon-fiber steering wheel.
