New Maserati MC20 Roadster gets Mansory treatment

Italian supercars are hardly ever understated, and the gorgeous Maserati MC20 isn’t an exception, either. Still, compared to this Mansory-tuned MC20 ‘Cielo’, the stock roadster comes across as tame.

The company says the body kit belongs in its ‘Soft’ collection, but it looks rather aggressive nonetheless. Up front, there is a large splitter with built-in guiding fins for the intakes, a vented hood and carbon-fiber bezels around the headlights and the grille.

The sides look more voluminous thanks to sophisticated skirts with fins and air vents. The arches house the company’s own FV.5 Monoblock forged rims sized 21 inches large at the front and 22 inches at the back. A diffuser and a giant rear wing round off the styling.

Those of us who know Mansory well enough will realize that the engine has been tuned, too. The stock 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 went to 720 PS (710 hp / 530 kW) and 850 Nm (627 lb-ft) of torque courtesy of software tweaks. As a result, the roadster now goes 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 2.7 seconds instead of 3 and maxes out at 330 km/h (205 mph).
