Novelties
The new Maserati MCPURA is essentially an upgraded and reworked MC20, and it is going into production at the Modena factory very soon.
Compared to the model it is based upon, the MCPURA boasts a refined aerodynamic profile that took thousands of hours of wind tunnel tests, the company claims without providing any specific data. Judging by the images alone, the car received a reshaped front splitter and air intakes, a larger rear diffusor and a spoiler not unlike that of the GT2 Stradale. Maserati also mentions new exterior finishes to choose from.
Inside, GT2 Stradale displays and a D-shaped steering yoke are the biggest highlights. Customers can choose from more trimming materials and options, including one that goes particularly heavy on artificial suede. Like its MC20 counterpart, the MCPURA Cielo cabriolet comes with a dimmable retractable hard top.
Powering the ride is the familiar 3.0-liter Nettuno V6 rated at 630 PS (621 hp / 463 kW) and 720 Nm (531 lb-ft) of torque. The transmission is eight-speed automatic, and both body styles only need around three seconds to sprint 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph).
