Mazda announced the CX-60 in the fall of 2021 and will be revealing it on March 8, 2022, as this short video briefly states.
The crossover SUV can be partially seen in the footage, but we have already seen its exterior several months before when someone leaked images from an official ad shoot, so there is nothing really new here.
The CX-60 will be available on its domestic market and in Europe, where it will be the Japanese marque’s first plug-in hybrid. It will combine a 2.5-liter IC engine with an electric motor for a total of 300 PS (296 hp / 221 kW). Six-cylinder petrol and diesel engines will also be available in mild-hybrid configurations with a 48V motor.
Later on, the brand plans to unveil the CX-80 seven-seater with similar power options. A CX-70 and a CX-90 are also on course.
