After making quite a few intriguing announcements, Mazda has officially demonstrated the 2018 Mazda6 sedan at the International Car show in Los-Angeles, U.S.A. The stylish vehicle retained key exterior design features while becoming more up-to-date and generally attractive.
The 2018 version of Mazda6 flaunts a new radiator grille, optics, bumpers and alloy wheels. According to an official representative of the Japanese manufacturer, the car also received improved sound insulation and local body reinforcements.
As for the interior, it has been almost entirely overhauled. The minimalistic Mazda Vision Coupe digital console alone looks like a substantial improvement.
This year’s model of Mazda6 comes with a brand new Skyactiv-G 2.5T engine similar to that of the CX-9 and capable of up to 250 horsepower. For those who would rather prefer the classic, the old 2.5-liter engine is also available, albeit in an upgraded form. Its current revision outputs up to 192 hp.
The company plans to begin sales of the new Mazda6 in the spring of 2018. Its retail price is going to be disclosed approximately at the same time.
