The new Mazda6 Wagon makes a public debut

The Japanese car manufacturer Mazda has officially introduced Mazda6 Wagon, an estate car version of the Mazda6 sedan which premiered last year.

Thanks to some well-appointed design features also found on its sedan counterpart, the new wagon really looks stylish and aggressive despite the added dimensions. New radiator grille, LED lights and bumpers immediately draw attention to themselves.

Looking at the interior, one can’t help thinking that Japanese designers went the Bushido way of minimalism and asceticism. You’ll be hard pressed to find a single analog switch – everything in the car can be controlled via the digital console and the touch-enabled display. Another display serves the purposes of the infotainment system. Multiple decorative parts made of precious Kalopanax wood add to the overall style of the vehicle interior.

The new Mazda6 Wagon offers a large array of safety-oriented features for both the driver and the passengers, and comes with quite a few cruise control / assistance features onboard.

When it gets released in Japan, the new Mazda6 Wagon will be shipped with a brand new 2.5-liter, 253 hp strong turbocharged gasoline engine. Another version will come with a 2.5-liter naturally aspirated engine manufacturer-rated at 192 hp.
