The Australian subdivision of Mazda has posted the first photo of its 2nd-gen BT-50 pickup truck scheduled for reveal on June 17, 2020.
The pic lets us a glimpse at the car body and prompts the assumption that the new generation shares its technical platform with the Isuzu D-Max, rather than the Ford Ranger like before.
It is assumed that the AWD pickup will ship with a 3.0-liter diesel engine under the hood rated at 190 hp (142 kW) and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft). Transmission choices will likely be limited to six-speed manual and automatic.
Despite the alleged Isuzu D-Max base, the truck will likely sport its own styling cues both outside and inside, and come with a much wider assortment of options than the Isuzu.
