Mazda launches a ute-shaped BT-50 for Australia

Mazda has launched a light commercial truck variant of its BT-50 pickup Down Under. Customers get to choose between single and double cab, as well as between naked chassis and walled bed. Prices start from $36,500 AUD.

The model runs on Isuzu body-on-frame architecture and uses a 3.0-liter turbo diesel engine rated at 190 hp (142 kW) and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft). Transmission options are limited to six-speed manual and automatic.

The equipment list is quite generous and includes cruise control, LED lights, 17-inch alloys, AC, a 7-inch infotainment display, and a reversing camera.
