Mazda Australia has unveiled a new flagship version of its BT-50 pickup, dubbed Thunder. Here’s what it is about.
The Thunder comes based on the BT-50 GT 4×4 spec and improves upon it with extra lights, a stainless-steel bumper, 18-inch black alloys, flared fenders, and wider side sills.
Powering the luxury ute is a 3.0-liter four-cylinder diesel turbo capable of 187 PS (184 hp / 138 kW) and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) of torque. The transmission can be six-speed manual or six-speed automatic.
Sales start in April from $65,990 AUD. The manufacturer claims the special edition packs $13,000+ AUD worth of mods.
