Mazda works on a CX-5 update

The popular Japanese car maker Mazda has announced the soon-to-be-launched updated version of the Mazda CX-5 crossover. What are the most interesting features of the CX-5 2018?

Perhaps the most compelling of all is the cylinder deactivation feature which brings about a considerable reduction in overall fuel consumption. Other highlights include new systems for blind zone monitoring and rear movement warning.

In its basic version, the new CX-5 ships with textile-draped interior, LED lights, stylish-looking 17-inch wheels, a media center with big screen and other features.

Inside of the car sits the 2.5-liter V4 Skyactiv-G engine to which 187 horsepower comes easily. It should be noted that while the basic version is front-driven, 4WD is also available as an option.

The updated Mazda CX-5 hits the showrooms as early as December. Prices start from $24,150, with the 4WD option adding $1000 to the price tag.
