The Japanese automaker has plenty of plans for the upcoming three years, including the launch of an all-new EV and multiple new petrol cars.
It is official now that the third generation of the CX-5 will debut sometime in 2025–2027. You can check out its predecessor in the video here. Unlike that one, the new SUV will take advantage of an in-house-designed, highly efficient hybrid powertrain.
A completely new electric car is also scheduled to come out in a couple of years, accompanied by an SUV co-designed between Mazda and Changan in China. It would be the companies’ second collaboration like that.
Last but not least, Mazda is busy developing a new generation of four-cylinder petrol engines, Skyactiv-Z. It is coming in 2027 to replace the aging Skyactiv-G and Skyactiv-X lineups.
