The North American office of Mazda is getting ready to reveal the all-new CX-90 flagship. We thought it would debut today after all the teasers and hints, but the latest ad video says it is going to be two more weeks until the premiere.
The CX-90 plays a crucial role for Mazda, which has been lagging behind most other automakers lately in terms of electrification. It will be a completely new design and the marque’s first widely available electrified car. According to reports, it is going to be a plug-in hybrid based on an inline six-cylinder engine.
As for the video, it depicts an unpacking of individual car components, including the engine, which should eventually assemble into a whole that is the CX-90. Once out and about, the new model will replace the CX-9, becoming the most powerful production Mazda on offer.
