Mazda EZ-60 presents specs

Mazda has added its newest SUV, the EZ-60, to the MIIT database in China. It will debut at the Auto Shanghai media day, April 23rd, but let’s take a look at the specs right now.

The EZ-60 is a collaboration between Mazda and Changan that mainly targets the Chinese domestic market. It runs on the latter company’s EPA1 architecture and is closely related to the Deepal S07, just as rumors suggested. It is sized 4,850 x 1,935 x 1,620 mm large with 2,902 mm between the axles.

The only drivetrain patented so far is range-extender hybrid. It sends 258 PS (254 hp / 190 kW) to the wheels from a single e-motor and runs 160 km (~100 miles) in all-electric mode according to the local CLTC standard. A 1.5-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine with the factory designation CM469NE1 is tasked with charging the car’s 31.7-kWh LFP battery pack on the go.
