Mazda has spruced up its model number six heading into 2021 – but only for the United States so far. The turbocharged engine gains a pinch of torque, and a new version joins the range starting later this month.
The 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder option stays at 253 hp (188 kW) while gaining another 14 Nm of torque (now 434 Nm / 320 lb-ft). The non-turbo engine remains unmodified at 189 hp (141 kW) and 252 Nm (186 lb-ft).
The new special trim version is called Carbon Edition and slots in between the Grand Touring Reserve and the range-topping Signature. It comes with 19-inch wheels, a rear spoiler, Polymetal Gray mirror housings and red leather interior. All specs now support Android Auto and Apple CarPlay from the onset.
Sales in the United States launch later in September.
