The Mazda MX-5 Miata is a rather affordable and at the same time well-specced sports car that is well suited to everyday use as well as amateur racing. But the owner of this particular Miata grew dissatisfied with it and turned it into a… rally off-roader, what!?
He started off by lifting the suspension as far as it would go. Then he removed the stock wheels and replaced them with heavy-duty off-road wheels clad in knobby mud tires. The tires prevented the wheels from fitting into their housings, so those had to be extended.
He then replaced the plastic bumpers with metallic ones and attached a spare wheel housing in the back. He lacquered the car matte green and installed a roof rack with a light bar.
The stock engine received a performance boost via a compressor, improved air circulation, and a snorkel pipe for deep water.
