The author of the video says he got his hands on a totaled Subaru Impreza WRX and instantly knew it was his chance to build a true Frankenstein monster of a car. He took a Miata, dismantled its inline engine and RWD drivetrain, and put Subaru components inside instead. Easier said than done, of course: actually fitting everything inside the miniature roadster was a challenge, but it went well.
The result is a Subaru-swapped Miata that drives all four wheels and rocks giant all-terrain tires on aftermarket rims inside cutout fenders. Impressive, isn’t it?
