Check out the misleadingly named, fixed-top Mazda MX-5 Roadster Coupe

This 17-year-old Mazda MX-5 Miata belonged to a series of 179 production units made for Japan with a non-removable hard top, so it probably has no business calling itself ‘Roadster Coupe’. Anyway, it is on sale now with a top bid at €15,750.

The seller claims that the coupe is even more exclusive than it appears to be, because it is one of only 63 Type S units made. It has around 80,000 km (50,000 miles) under its belt and uses a 1.8-liter engine linked to a six-speed manual gearbox and LSD to propel itself forward with 160 PS (158 hp / 118 kW). Aftermarket mods include 16-inch Enkei wheels and Bilstein shocks.

Despite its mileage, the coupe is in great condition with its body free of rust and its black cloth interior trim lacking major signs of wear. Power windows, air conditioning and CD player are all OEM trim options.

The record mentions two owners, but the second one – who also happens to be the seller – says he never registered it for road use.
