We have seen automotive icons become great toy cars and even wooden scale replicas, but producing one out of chocolate is new.
The Japanese office of Mazda has posted a single photo of the sweetest MX-5 there is – that is, if you are into chocolate. The tiny roadster is incredibly detailed for what it is, copying the lines of the 2015MY MX-5 generation (see video) down to the last curve and kink.
The replica represents the hardtop version of the roadster. It sports elaborate wheel spoke designs and the mandatory brand badge, and comes with a slew of chocolate spare parts. There is an exhaust system, brakes, a dashboard, a transmission, seats and more. Rounding off the composition are a few actual chocolates not shaped like anything automotive.
The one-off candy car was made by Mazda Japan in time for February 14 and will not be produced.
