Right now, Cars&Bids is auctioning off a weird-looking 1992 Mazda MX-5 called Eunos Roadster. It is in decent condition, flaunts a removable hard top and does its best to cosplay the iconic Ferrari 250 GTO turned into an SUV. The bidding has been slow, however, with the current best offer at $6,000.
The seller got his hands on the sports car in March 2023 and immediately began modding it. A previous owner had equipped it with a Monocraft body kit, making it look like the legendary 250 GTO.
Apparently, it didn’t seem cool enough for the tuner, because he retrofitted the Japanese-Italian ride with a suspension lift kit from Paco Motorsport. He also put on 15-inch Bassett wheels shod in high-profile tires in the arches, s move that necessitated cutting the metalwork a little bit. He also replaced the stock doors with spiderweb-like belts, but whoever buys the car will be getting the original doors, too.
Powering the unlikely Ferrari MX-5 is its stock 120-PS (118-hp / 88-kW) engine sending the torque to the wheels through an added limited-slip differential.
