The British company announced the release of a fully
electric supercar, which will be included in the top line Ultimate Series. This
event will not happen until 2019. This was reported by the famous British
portal Autocar referring to its own sources in McLaren Automotive.
Supercar, which title is currently unknown, will
be built at the request of regular customers in the amount of five units.
According to its technical characteristics, the electric car will resemble the
model McLaren 675LT. This coupe is equipped with a 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8
engine with a performance of 675 horsepower. The jerk to the first
"hundred" McLaren 675LT makes in 2.9 seconds, and its top speed is
300 km / h.
McLaren Automotive has a rich experience in the development of electrical technology. Proof of this is the extreme coupe P1. In addition, the company is a supplier of electrical assemblies for racing cars of Formula Е racing series.
