Frankly speaking, the McLaren Senna packs class-leading performance straight from the factory. Armed with a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8, it zaps 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in a vertiginous 2.8 seconds and doesn’t hit its speed ceiling until 340 km/h (208 mph). Then again, if you are Hennessey Performance, the sky is the limit.
As it turns out, the tuner is currently working on two power upgrades for the McLaren Senna. The first and greatest of the two is called the HPE1000. As its name suggests, it will boost the car to 1,000 horsepower (745 kW) and probably beyond. The package includes improved turbochargers and intercoolers, a high-throughput wastegate, a stainless-steel exhaust system, and a Motec engine control chip. The HPE1000 kit also includes tweaks to the stock 7-speed DCT box.
In turn, the HPE900 package promises 900 horsepower (671 kW), but its contents remain undisclosed so far.
Hennessey Performance says it will reveal the detailed performance numbers later, so stay tuned!
