Luxury car manufacturer McLaren has released a teaser video dedicated to its upcoming Grand Tourer vehicle, marketed as being ideal for long road trips. The car will celebrate its live premiere on May 15, 2019.
Even compared against the other McLarens, the newcomer boasts an impressively large trunk compartment along with a spacious interior. It also offers an unsurpassed level of comfort for the driver and passengers, which is especially important if you are going to travel long distances, the company says.
According to the CEO of the company, the vehicle comes based on the Speedtail chassis. Packing a 1,000-horsepower (745-kilowatt) engine, the McLaren Speedtail debuted last year as the fastest-going hypercar in the history of the marque. A more traditional V8 engine rated at around 600 hp (450 kW) will power the new GT, the manufacturer reports.
