McLaren Senna: ain’t no such thing as too much carbon

Visitors to the 2018 Geneva International Motor Show will get an opportunity to see a highly unique rendition of the McLaren Senna hypercar built as part of a limited special series by McLaren’s daughter company MSO. The vehicle sports an all-carbon body and an unusual paintjob.

According to MSO, it took the engineers over 1,000 hours to piece together the 65 carbon parts constituting the new McLaren Senna and another 250 hours to apply yellow lacquering to highlight some of the details. Juxtaposed against green brake supports, these highlights create a compelling contrast.

The interior of the ultra-luxurious McLaren Senna is black with numerous yellow and green accents throughout. Needless to say, only top-quality materials were used for the trimming.

On the outside, the car sports designer-made light alloy wheels which help reduce its weight even further compared to the series-produced model.

The hood compartment of the new McLaren Senna got to keep its stock 4.0L V8 bi-turbo engine with 800 hp which can get it going at 100 km/h (62 mph) in mere 2.8 seconds.

Last but not least, the manufacturer stated that the new McLaren Senna only gets a limited release of 500 copies already sold out completely in pre-orders.
