McLaren 570S Spider hits the racetrack

The luxurious McLaren 570S Spider supercar has received an all-new Track Pack upgrade kit from its manufacturer. The kit replaces certain car body parts, units and mechanisms with their lightweight carbon counterparts, thus reducing the total weight by 33 kilograms (~73 lbs.). In addition to this, the racing-only vehicle gets a new exhaust system and a different set of light alloy wheels.

The hood compartment of the McLaren 570S Spider racecar holds the same 3.8-liter, twin-turbo V8 engine with 570 hp (425 kW) and 600 Nm (443 lb·ft) of torque as its street-legal version. The vehicle accelerates 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in mere 3.2 seconds and doesn’t reach its speed limit until 330 km/h (205 mph). In terms of outer design, the open-top McLaren 570S Spider racer looks almost identical to the coupe model.

The Track Pack upgrade costs € 19,613.
