Here comes a drag race between a McLaren 600LT and a Ferrari 812 Superfast. Both are European and fiercely temperamental, but there has to be a winner, right?
The Brit packs a 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 rated at 600 PS (592 hp / 441 kW) and 620 Nm (457 lb-ft) of torque. A seven-speed DCT drives the rear wheels. In turn, the Italian gets 800 PS (789 hp / 588 kW) and 718 Nm (530 lb-ft) of torque out of its 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12. The transmission and drive configuration are of the same type as those of its rival.
While the 812 Superfast obviously outperforms the McLaren in raw power, it also weighs nearly 1,800 kilos (3,968 lbs). The 600LT is featherweight in comparison at just 1,356 kg (2,990 lbs). Will it be enough to turn the scales? Watch the video and find out!
