McLaren Special Operations has unveiled its latest development: a new titanium alloy exhaust system compatible with such McLaren Sport Series models as the 540C, 570GT, and 570S. See the video to get an idea of what it sounds like.
The subdivision of the luxury car manufacturer proudly states that the new exhaust is full 5 dB louder than the old one, and comes with a reduction of 4.5 kg (10 lbs.) in the car weight. It costs £4,750 to purchase.
The regular McLaren 540C comes with a twin-turbo V8 engine capable of 540 hp (403 kW). As the entry-level model in the Sport Series, it needs 3.5 seconds to get going at 100 km/h (62 mph). While the McLaren 570S and 570GT share the same engine, its performance goes up to 570 hp (425 kW), meaning their acceleration times are also better.
