The British luxury car maker McLaren has published the images of its latest creation, the 720S GT3 supercar coupe. The novelty will enter retail as early as 2019. The company plans to spend the entire next year preparing the event.
Looking at the revealed sketches, it can be assumed that the McLaren 720S GT3 will come with an optimized body kit, the true highlight of which is the giant rear wing. As per the racing car industry tradition, a whole range of systems will be responsible for the driver’s safety - a roll cage, an automatic fire extinguisher and so on. All of these systems routinely pass heavy-duty tests to fully comply with FIA requirements.
Nothing has been revealed so far concerning the technical specifications of the McLaren 720S GT3. It is known, however, that the “civilian” version comes with a 4,0-liter V8 engine rated at 720 HP. The motor enables the car to accelerate to some dizzy 341 kilometers per hour (~212 mph). It takes only 2.8 seconds for it to get to 100 kmph (~60 mph).
